An ERP developer role in a leading Microsoft software house that has a growing range of projects.

The Company

Distil Recruitment is working in partnership with one of Belfast’s top Microsoft software houses in the recruitment of their next wave of tech hires. The company has seen phenomenal growth over the last number of years in terms of new business and acquisition. This is an exciting period for their tech teams as there are a number of new projects coming up.

We are seeking to source an ERP Developer for the Software Team and are keen to speak with experienced Developers.

The Role

Due to continued growth and investment in the business there is an immediate requirement for people from developer backgrounds. The company has a long tradition of promoting from within and their preference is to hire Software Developers with around 1+ years’ experience in Microsoft technologies.

The successful applicants will start work straight away in the software development team and will contribute to an on-going project from Day One. You will be mentored and trained internally according to your own requirements and a training and development plan will be agreed with you upon joining the company. There is a real variety of responsibility attached to the positions but they all involve working across the full development life-cycle from requirements gathering, design through to deployment.

Specifically, in the capacity of ERP Developer you will:

• Play a major role in the design, development and testing of software
• Be responsible for customised programming and unit testing including relevant documentation
• Work with the functional consulting team to understand the business / application requirements of the assigned task
• Deliver development tasks within agreed upon budgets and timelines
• Support end users during go live
• Assisting the support desk resolving technical issues, debugging code and processes

We are looking for the following attributes:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or a related Degree
• 1+ years’ commercial programming experience in an OO language
• Knowledge of an objected orientated language
• .Net experience a plus
• Experience with an ERP system or with some sort of business application desirably
• Strong communication skills- written and verbal
• Keen attention to detail with a questioning and analytical mind
• Able to work in a team and independently when required
