The Role

Distil Recruitment is working with a rapidly expanding household name local business. The organisation is an industry leader in their sector locally and have several sites throughout the UK. We are working with them in the recruitment of a junior / graduate level Business / Systems analyst with a strong focus on reporting and MI.

Due to continued growth and investment in the ERP and reporting software within the business there is an immediate requirement for an ambitious junior person to join a growing IT team in a new role. The position involves working as part of the systems team but also to liaise with all other business functions when required. It is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with placement experience in a reporting or business systems role or for an internal MI or BI reporting analyst keen to expand their skills and learn new things.

Some of the key areas of activity undertaken in this role will be:

• Reporting using a range of MI and BI tools including Crystal, SQL and Qlikview
• Training and providing support on the ERP system
• Providing help and support capability to a range of internal users
• Working on internal implementation and training projects

The Person

This is a new position within the business and as such the successful applicant will have the opportunity to put their own stamp on the role and work with our existing team to carve out the direction of the role as well as various projects. We need an ambitious and organised individual who has exposure to ERP / business systems of any variety and also experienced in the preparation of reports and analysis. Key requirements are as follows:

• Some commercial experience in a systems role within industry
• Knowledge of business processes, in particular in regard to finance (invoicing, purchasing etc)
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport with system users at all levels
• Reporting skills and ideally experience with one or more of VBA, Crystal Reports, Qlikview, MS SQL
• Ability to take ownership of a range of projects, prioritise workload and use initiative

Remuneration

Salary is relevant to experience. As this is a new position there is flexibility on the salary range available according to the suitability of the successful applicant. Full benefits package is also available.
