Software Support Developer. Mid Ulster

 

The Role

A Junior Software Support Developer within a respected organisation in Mid Ulster. The role exists as a combination of supporting business / ERP systems, developing and customising software and business analysis. Lots of training and support provided. You must be enthusiastic and keen to progress your career on a business software / analysis path. This is a busy, challenging and rewarding opportunity.

Small IT / Systems team with wide-reaching responsibility for several sites across the UK and Ireland. Strong team dynamic and a flat structure.

This company has a track record of putting its money where its mouth is in terms of investment in leading-edge business systems. They provide access to technology that you would not normally expect to find in a NI based business.

 

The Person

You will be a hands-on technical person who loves making improvements and solving problems. You like working with new kit and appreciate how technology boosts performance and service within a large commercial organisation.

You need to have a strong understanding of Microsoft technology and ideally some commercial experience in either development or systems support. You need to be adaptable and hungry to learn new things, open to challenges and able to think on your feet. You will also need to communicate well with business users and non-IT people at all levels.

We are looking for the following attributes:

  • 1+ years’ experience as a commercial software developer, placement year is fine.
  • Third level qualification in an IT discipline
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to work well in a small team.
  • Good attention to detail and an analytical mind.
